A Little About the Long Distance Librarian…

Hey there! My name is Cara, a lifelong New Englander and a very unlikely librarian. If I’m not reading or running you can find me outdoors with my husband either hiking, snowboarding or taking photos.

This blog was created to share books I have read and the ‘notable nuggets’ gathered from each title. ‘Nuggets’ (term coined by my father) are pieces of advice, lessons learned, quotes, or food for thought that help improve one’s journey in this life. My dad has given me endless nuggets and I credit him for inspiring me to read books and experience my hobbies and interest through this lens.

As Thomas Jefferson said, “I cannot live without books; but fewer will suffice where amusement, and not use, is the only future object.” My hope is to create an on-going collection of diverse books and their ‘nuggets’ that may help guide your next read,
